I'm Barbara Dando, and I'm thrilled to welcome you to my little corner of the internet that reflects my journey as an author and a person. Here's a bit about me and my work:
My debut novel, "You Don’t Remember Me But I Love You", is a tale close to my heart. It's inspired by personal experiences and delves into the complexities of love, loss, and the unbreakable bonds of family.

I've been a nurse for over twenty years, an experience that has deeply influenced my writing. My work has taken me from medical/surgical units to the Department of Corrections, each step enriching my understanding of the human spirit.
Living in upstate New York with my fiancé, Jack, and our dog, Emily, I find joy in the simple pleasures of life. Quilting, reading, and crafting fill my free time, along with cherished moments with my grandchildren.
The story of Alice Fitzpatrick in my book is more than fiction. It's a reflection of my own experiences with my mother's battle with dementia/Alzheimer's. This book is my way of reaching out to others facing similar challenges, offering comfort and companionship through shared stories.
Whether you're a reader seeking solace, a fellow writer, or someone who just stumbled upon my site, I hope you find something here that resonates with you.
I believe in the power of community and shared experiences. Feel free to reach out, share your stories, or just say hello. Together, we can find beauty and strength in the stories we share.
